The Enterprise Server is a universal file transfer server combining high-speed, secure fasp transport with exceptional transfer management features for enterprise and consumer-scale applications. All common transfer models, such as upload, download, and automatic push and pull through hot folders, and all Aspera client applications are supported. The performance scales well for individual high-bandwidth transfers, as well as many concurrent transfers at broadband speeds. All fasp transfers are manageable in real-time from a web management interface or programmatically, through an open web services (SOAP) API.

Aspera’s transfer performance, which is independent of the network distance transfer end-points, eliminates the need to move content geographically close to users for high performance. Content distributors and enterprises can consolidate multiple distributed servers to a single or few serving location, avoiding the cost and complexity of maintaining multiple server nodes and replicating content among them.
Deployment involves Aspera Enterprise Server installation in a centralized data transfer location, and Aspera client software at the remote end-point, such as the Aspera Scp client for desktop and automated transfers, or the Aspera Connect Browser Plug-in. Connect integrates seamlessly with the user’s native web browser, and supports drag-and-drop or click-to-download transfers between the user’s computer and an Aspera server. Transfers continue to run, and failed transfers are retried, even when the browser is closed, and users have control to pause, resume, or change transfer speeds and priority during the transfer, and for media files, play during download.
